 Escape the busy streets of Marrakech’s Medina for the stark beauty of the desert during this 3-day excursion to Mezrouga and Erg Chebbi. Cross through the Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi-n-Tichka pass, explore the UNESCO World Heritage listed Aït Benhaddou kashbah and visit the desert oasis at Skoura. Then discover the Todra Gorge and the sacred city of Rissani before spending the night amidst the stark beauty of the Sahara Desert.

  • 07:30 am

    DAY 1

    Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Valley of Roses – Gorges of Dades

    After picking you up at your hotel or riad (or at the airport) we will depart for Ouarzazate. On the way we cross the Atlas through the incredible Tizi n’Tichka port, 2,260 meters high.

    Shortly after crossing the Atlas we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou , an incredible fortified city where movies like Gladiator or The Kingdom of the Skies have been shot.

    After the visit we will take the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs towards Skoura where we will stop at the Kasbah of Amredhyle . From here we will go to Kelaat M’gouna, capital of the Valley of Roses, to finally reach the Gorges of Dades , where we will stay.

  • DAY 2

    Gorges of Dades – Gorges of Todra – Merzouga

    After breakfast we will return to the Valley of the Dades and cross the impressive Gorges of Todra , where we will stay until lunchtime.

    With the renewed energies, we will take the road to Merzouga and cross the Palm Grove of Jorf (where the best dates are said to come from) and Erfoud , a beautiful town where you can visit a marble workshop.

    Once in Merzouga and, after recovering from the impressive image of its dunes, we will leave the 4X4 to enter the desert on the back of a camel in search of the camp where we will spend the night . In this camp we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in all of Morocco.

    DAY 3

    Merzouga – Rissani-Alnif-Tazarine – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate

    If there is something that no one can miss, it is enjoying a sunrise in the desert , so this day we will get up early. After contemplating this moment we will take the camels to come to a hotel where we can shower and have breakfast.

    From return to Ouarzazate we will take a different route. Passing the Palmeral de Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (origin of the Alauí dynasty and ancient capital of the Alaouite sultans) we will arrive to Alnif , where we will take the road that crosses the Anti Atlas mountain range.

    Amazed by the shapes and colors of these mountains, we will reach Tazarine (an important Berber village), N’kob and, finally, the Draa Valley and its surprising palm grove.

    In the afternoon we will cross the Anti Atlas by the Tizi n Tnifift port (of 1660 meters) in the direction of Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night .

  • Day 4

    Ouarzazate – Marrakech

    After breakfast we will have time to visit the famous Kasbah Taourirt, discoverOuarzazat ( Hollywood of Africa ), and Atlas Film Studios , the most important in Africa. After lucnch we drive back to Marrakech .
